Anjelica and Joe’s story started the way a lot of great ones do...through mutual friends and a few “random” run-ins that didn’t feel so random after a while. What began as crossing paths at get togethers eventually turned into something more in 2020, with bocce ball games by a church in Millburn and plenty of time spent watching Azrah and Mako run around like crazy at the local playground.

It didn’t take long for them to realize they had a lot in common. From big, lively Italian families to a shared love of sports, they quickly found not just a partner, but a built-in best friend for life. Whether it’s attending any and every sporting event or debating which teams reign supreme, what state knows hockey better (MN..duh :) ) sports have always been a big part of their story. Anjelica grew up with season tickets cheering on the Timberwolves and Yankees, while Joe was raised in a Devils household, but very much chose the right path as a lifelong Rangers fan. The Yankees vs. Mets debate is still very much alive in their house—27 World Series championships vs. 2, depending on who you ask.

When Joe met Anjelica, she was just about ready to leave New Jersey behind. But somewhere along the way, he showed her a different side of it, the kind filled with summer days at the Jersey Shore, time spent on the water, and all the little moments that make it feel like home. And now, it’s exactly that: home, together.

What started as chance encounters turned into something steady, fun, full of love and dog hair and they can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you.
